6  Run and monitor

Review local execution status and convergence history

Before running, the selected case must have a valid solver-binary path and input configuration. Solution > Run starts the solver with that case’s settings, while Stop requests a safe termination.

6.1 Pre-run checks

  • The dimension in Analysis matches the selected 2D or 3D solver.
  • Mesh, domain, and boundary-marker connections are complete.
  • Run Control defines an iteration or physical-time termination condition.
  • Monitoring includes residuals, a history file, and monitors for quantities of interest.

6.2 Check convergence

For steady analyses, check that monitors of interest—such as force coefficients, mass flow, and pressure drop—stabilize as well as residuals. If a problem occurs, keep the run log and history CSV, then follow Troubleshooting.

Note

The current GUI execution controls focus on starting, checking status, and stopping. Use the CLI or API workflow for pause/resume and cluster submission.
